Book your place at Sustain’s upcoming webinar, Growing Community Food Enterprises on Wednesday 27 March 15.00-16.15, which will launch our new toolkit helping community food projects to develop more sustainably, and exploring the role of social investors such as councils and housing associations in growing the sector.
Over the last 12 months, Sustain’s Connecting Community Food Enterprises project, funded by the Barrow Cadbury Trust, learned from a network of community food projects and produced resources to support community food projects to develop more sustainably, including emergency food aid providers that wish to transition to trading models.
This webinar will accompany the launch of a toolkit to support community food projects to develop more sustainably including developing strategies, business plans, financial planning, legal structures and monitoring and evaluation. We look at issues faced across the country with food supply, precarious funding and rising need.
We will hear from social enterprise training experts GCDA, Feedback Global will talk about the innovative community food projects they support in Liverpool and how they work with the council and local housing associations, and Cook for Good will talk about their experience developing a community-based food social enterprise in partnership with Peabody housing.
Please share with community food projects, councils, housing associations, and others in your networks you think may be interested.
